ILMC 30 charity announced

Every year ILMC's Nikos Fund raises money for charity. The Nikos Fund was set-up to commemorate the life and contribution to the ILMC of one of our founding members, the late Nikos Sachpasidis. This year’s worthy cause is Music Support – an organisation that provides help and support for individuals in any area of the music industry who are suffering from alcoholism, addiction, emotional or mental health issues.

A donation from every ILMC registration goes towards the Nikos Fund, and there are many other ways to contribute, including participating in the Texas Probe 'em Poker Tourney on Wednesday 7 March, or the Nikos Fund Prize Draw on Friday 9 March. Or you can add any spare change (both metal and paper welcome) to the collection tins strategically placed around the hotel or occasionally rattled in your face by enthusiastic ILMC space crew.

ILMC 30 registration open!

Somewhat amazingly, the live music industry’s favourite gathering will celebrate its 30th birthday in 2018 – which is not bad for something that was originally intended to be a one-off meeting.

However, celebrations at ILMC HQ have been muted by the fact that the approaching anniversary has unexpectedly triggered an automatic government declassification, revealing the shocking truth about the conference. After three decades of disinformation and misleading guises, the ILMC has been unmasked as the Interplanetary Life-forms Moderation Corps – a top-secret agency established to monitor the various weird and wonderful otherworldly inhabitants of the live music universe.

We can now reveal that during Earth dates 6-9 March 2018, over 1,000 interplanetary travellers will invade our top-secret underground base - a location cunningly disguised as one of London’s best five-star hotels, The Royal Garden, but so hush hush that it makes Area 51 look about as covert as Disneyland.

All the highly classified data you need to land at ILMC can be found on this highly confidential website, and we’ll also be dispatching regular updates in our for-your-eyes-only e.News service, as well as in that covert organ of cover-ups and disinformation, IQ Magazine

One piece of not-so-secret information is that the Royal Garden Hotel HQ can only squeeze in a finite number of foreign bodies and Earth-bound visitors. ILMC typically sells out in advance so it’s advisable to register before we run outta space.

Though, if you’re faster than light you might even scoop the much-coveted ILMC Mug Award (for being the first mug to register) in the process.

ILMC 30 supporters announced

A galaxy of the industry’s leading companies and friendly life-forms have pitched in to support ILMC this year, and we’re particularly proud to reveal our platinum partner, Live Nation; gold partner, Ticketmaster; silver partner, CTS Eventim; and associate partners, DEAGAirXMalaysia Major Events and Showsec.

Voting is live for The Arthurs 2018

Voting is now open for the Arthur Awards 2018 – the live music industry’s favourite and most-established awards. The Arthurs recognise the top players in the international concert business, from promoters, agents and venues; to festivals, production stars and suppliers.

Who’s in line for gongs in categories such as agent, promoter, venue, festival, and ticketing company? And which stars of the live music industry will take UFOs (unidentified f…ing objects) back to their own planets in 2018? All the nominees are online here.

ILMC members, and all those who receive our regular eNews or subscribe to IQ Magazine, are eligible to vote, and our virtual polling station will remain open until Friday 16 February 2018.

The awards are the climactic ending of The ILMC Gala-tic Dinner & Arthur Awards – an opulent evening that will take place at 8Northumberland, which boasts one of the grandest Victorian interiors in London, and is just yards from Trafalgar Square.

Registration is now open for ILMC 31

LMC members are masters at conjuring jaw-dropping, world-changing spectacles out of thin air, but a shroud of mystery surrounds the next edition…

Because with a spell of summoning now cast, the greatest sorcerers and their apprentices will arrive in London in March, to the centre of illusion and magic in the live entertainment universe.

The hottest topics, most amazing inventions, and the latest prophecies about the business will be unmasked at the Royal Garden Hotel – the industry’s very own Ministry of Magic – where more than 1,000 delegates expand their powers and skills over three days.

Major new apparitions this year include a whole new event on Friday 8 March – Futures Forum – which sees the industry’s future leaders consider the evolution of the business. And the Arthur Awards, the live music industry’s Oscar-equivalents, celebrates its 25th anniversary, with the great and good of the live music world in attendance.

All the details you need, from pagan rituals to registration spells, can be found in our online oracle here, and we’ll also be dispatching updates via our regular e.News service, as well as your favourite bimonthly grimoire, IQ Magazine.

However, with spaces in the hotel strictly limited, and recent editions of ILMC selling out earlier than ever, one thing we can’t do is conjure up more space. Once we’re sold out, even the most slippery Slytherin won’t get in… so it’s advisable to register early.

And if you’re fast off your broomstick, you might even scoop the much coveted ILMC Mug(gle) Award (for being the first mug to register) in the process.

So stick something pointy on your head, and get your broomstick to London for a spell… at the most magical, mystical ILMC that you ever laid eyes on.
