UTA’s Cocktails & Canapés

Of the many networking events on offer at ILMC, hands-down one of the most popular is UTA’s Cocktails & Canapés. At the end of the first day’s conference sessions, our friends at United Talent Agency will lay-on 60 minutes of complimentary booze and snacks to kick-start the schedule of night-time activities.

The ideal event to bring you back down to Earth after a busy day of conference invading, the entire team at UTA will also be available to discuss last-minute festival offers. And with previous editions seeing delegates queuing to get in, you won’t need super-human intelligence to know that early arrival is highly recommended.

It takes place from 17:30-18:30 on Wednesday 7 March. And if a room full of agents, promoters and free booze isn’t a recipe for galactic chaos, we’re not sure what is.

Green Events & Innovations Conference 2018

The day before ILMC begins proper, a bumper anniversary edition of the Green Events & Innovations Conference (GEI) will take place. Unless you’ve been living under an asteroid for the last few light years, you’ll know that GEI is the UK’s leading conference for sustainability at live events.

The conference will welcome 150 professionals working, or with an interest in, environmental and social initiatives and the development of live events. Practical case studies are mixed with presentations from around the world, alongsidenetworking coffee breaks, a complimentary lunch, and closing drinks party shared with delegates of the ILMC Production Meeting.

GEI10 takes place 10:00-18:00 on Tuesday 6 March at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

The Alia Dann Swift Bursary Scheme

ILMC's bursary scheme is available for a small number of young professionals and start-up companies, and is intended to provide a route for those who would otherwise not be able to attend, to participate in ILMC for the first time.

Earlier this year, the scheme was renamed in memory of Alia Dann Swift. Alia was ILMC’s long-standing producer who passed away in 2017 after a short illness. She was instrumental in both bringing talent into the industry, and supporting and encouraging new ILMC members.

The closing date to apply is 29 January 2018, with successful applicants being notified in the first week of February. A bursary scheme place is a full ILMC delegate pass. Details of all successful applicants will remain strictly confidential.
