An Evening of Spectacular Illusion!

You’re invited to join the great and the good of the live music industry for one of the most magical evenings in the live music business calendar… The Gala Hou-Dinner & 25th Arthur Awards.

To mark a quarter century of the live music industry’s most respected awards, we’re moving to a fabulous new venue in 2019: the Sheraton Grand Park Lane. With its grade II-listed ballroom and Silver Gallery, it's one of London’s most spectacular Art Deco spaces.

And with over 350 of the leading lights in the business attending for a champagne reception, and five-star cuisine with paired, sumptuous wines, it's one of the most important dates in the industry's calendar.

The highlight of the evening is The Arthur Awards, where we will be consulting our crystal ball and revealing which stars of the live music industry will be taking one of the cherished statuettes home with them. And with new categories added to mark the 25th anniversary, plus more than a few surprises in store, it's not an evening to miss.

Full details about the event are here

Tickets for the Gala Dinner are priced at £199 each, with tables of ten available at £1,990.

ILMC 31'S Enchanted Charities

Each year, The Nikos Fund raises money for a chosen registered charity to commemorate the life and contribution to the ILMC of one of our founding members, the late Nikos Sachpasidis.

This year we’re supporting Music Venue Trust, the UK charity that acts to protect, secure and improve grassroots music venues; and ActionAid, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.
A donation from every ILMC registration goes towards the Nikos Fund, and there are many other ways to contribute, including participating in the The Sleight of Hand Texas Hold'em Poker on Wednesday 6 March, or at the Nikos Fund Prize Draw on Thursday 7 March. Or you can add any spare change (both metal and paper welcome) to the collection tins strategically placed around the hotel or occasionally rattled in your face by the ILMC witches and wizards.

ILMC 31 Launches

ILMC members are masters at conjuring jaw-dropping, world-changing spectacles out of thin air, but a shroud of mystery surrounds the next edition…

Because with a spell of summoning now cast, the greatest sorcerers and their apprentices will arrive in London in March, to the centre of illusion and magic in the live entertainment universe.

The hottest topics, most amazing inventions, and the latest prophecies about the business will be unmasked at the Royal Garden Hotel – the industry’s very own Ministry of Magic – where more than 1,000 delegates will expand their powers and skills over three days.

Major new apparitions this year include a whole new event on Friday 8 March – Futures Forum – which sees the industry’s future leaders consider the evolution of the business. And the Arthur Awards, the live music industry’s Oscar-equivalents, celebrates its 25th anniversary, with the great and good of the live music world in attendance.

All the details you need, from pagan rituals to registration spells, can be found in our online oracle here, and we’ll also be dispatching updates via our regular e.News service, as well as your favourite bimonthly grimoire, IQ Magazine.

However, with spaces in the hotel strictly limited, and recent editions of ILMC selling out earlier than ever, one thing we can’t do is conjure up more space. Once we’re sold out, even the most slippery Slytherin won’t get in… so it’s advisable to register early.

And if you’re fast off your broomstick, you might even scoop the much-coveted ILMC Mug(gle) Award (for being the first mug to register) in the process.

So stick something pointy on your head, and get your broomstick to London for a spell… at the most magical, mystical ILMC that you ever laid eyes on.

ILMC Production Meeting 2019 Launches

Since it began, the ILMC Production Meeting has become one of the foremost platforms for international production professionals to meet, network and discuss the most pressing issues affecting the industry.

In 2018, 200 or so of the world's most renowned production managers; health, safety & security specialists; crewing companies; sound and lighting companies; venue personnel; staging & infrastructure companies; transport & travel specialists; new technology suppliers, and promoters' representatives made their way to London for this one-day event, which runs the day before ILMC kicks off.

IPM 12 will take place on Tuesday 5 March 2019, again hosted in the larger surroundings of the Royal Garden Hotel’s main conference rooms, providing ample space for the day’s programme.

Green Events & Innovations Conference 2019 Launches

Due to a sell-out edition last year and the new level of interest in sustainability by the music and event industry, and more broadly, the Green Events & Innovations conference (GEI) is moving to a larger space within the Royal Garden Hotel in order to accommodate more delegates and provide more networking space.

A heightened awareness of plastics in our oceans, our food and our bodies; the health impacts of poor air quality; and stark warnings released recently relating to climate change, mean radical and rapid changes are vitally important across every industry and in our personal lives, too.

Topics already scheduled for the 2019 agenda include plastics and reusables (in light of the very recent ban by the European Parliament that will come into force in 2021); campsite waste and behaviour; merchandise; touring and transport; and event catering.
