Attitude is Everything (UK)

Suzanne Bull MBE is the Founder-CEO of Attitude is Everything, having grown a short-term pilot programme into a fully-fledged and highly influential charitable organisation over 18 years.

She is disabled and has both a personal and professional interest in improving access to live music.

Attitude is Everything is an Arts Council England Sector Support Organisation that has assisted the UK’s live music industry for over 18 years to increase accessibility for Deaf and disabled audiences, artists, volunteers and professionals. Over 160 venues and festivals ranging from Glastonbury Festival to Manchester’s Band on the Wall are members of their Charter of Best Practice, a framework of awards that cover all aspects of live music accessibility. This Charter was endorsed by the UK Live Music Group as the industry standard for accessibility in 2017. Recent years have seen their work extend internationally to Norway, Gibraltar and beyond. January 2019 saw the publication of their guidance into 11 languages with the support of the British Council.

Suzanne was honoured with an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2013 for services to music, arts and disabled people. In February 2017 she was appointed as the UK government’s Sector Champion for the music industry. In May 2017, she was listed in Power 100 - Britain’s most influential disabled people, and then listed in She Said So’s Alternative Power 100 List – celebrating the music industry’s unheard voices. In November 2017 she was enrolled in Music Week’s Women In Music Awards Roll Of Honour – built is to provide lasting recognition to the executives who work hard to further both the interests of women in the music industry and the industry itself.
