Lucy Noble

Royal Albert Hall (UK)

Lucy has been involved with the Royal Albert Hall for over fifteen years. She attended the Royal College of Music and during her studies worked as a steward at the Hall to support her musical education. She went on to work as an orchestral assistant at the Royal College of Music’s Junior Department, Sadler’s Wells Theatre and IMG Artists as tours and projects manager.

Lucy has recently been appointed as the artistic and commercial director at the Royal Albert Hall having held several positions beforehand. Her current focus at the Hall is producing and promoting its own programme of events – a new area for the Hall, this area ranges from films with live orchestra, classical concerts through to large-scale dance projects.

As well as overseeing all artistic areas of the Hall, Lucy looks after the Education & Outreach Programme, which reached nearly 200k people in 2016, as well as the Hall’s corporate partnerships including sponsorship. Lucy is working to encourage more people of all backgrounds into the Hall through a programme of initiatives such as special matinees and workshops for young people with world-class artists.

She is also responsible for introducing many of the new programming initiatives outside of the Hall’s main auditorium that highlight the Hall’s public benefit messages by offering these events for free or at lower tickets prices, such as the free lunchtime music, an exhibition series and Late Night Jazz, Elgar Comedy, Classical Coffee Mornings, the new Elgar Room programme and Albert Sessions initiatives.
